The Women’s National Book Association (WNBA) in the United States has named When the Apricots Bloom one of the top 20 Great Group Reads for 2021!
The WNBA was established in 1917 - before American women could vote or join mainstream bookseller associations - to support and give voice to women in the book industry, and its annual Great Group Reads list is highly rated by North American librarians and independent publishers.
Initially, WBNA membership was open to women publishers, booksellers, librarians, authors, illustrators, and agents– the only criterion being that part of their income must come from books.
I’m so excited to see it land a spot on the WNBA’s Great Group Reads list and can’t wait to join their monthly book club meeting to discuss the fact behind the fiction in When the Apricots Bloom. Please Stay tuned for more details on that.
